We hope that you have moved onto the the latest entry in the NBA 2K series, NBA 2K12. Those of you still grasping onto last year’s iteration of the game are in for some serious disappointment as 2K is preparing to close down the online servers for
NBA 2K11 later this month.
This makes one of the shortest spans in which the servers for a sports game were kept open. It has only been a year since the game launched and considering that the 2009 iteration was kept active for nearly 2 years, fans certainly have a reason to be upset. The closing of the 2K10 servers earlier this year, after only 15 months in operation, should have been an indication of things to come.
So, what do you think? How long should a company keep their online servers up and running for their games? We want to hear your thoughts in the comment section below.
