Action Shooter Partners with Military Providing Gamers Unmatched Flight Experience

SAN JOSE, Calif., (October 31, 2011) – NAMCO BANDAI Games and the United States Air Force (USAF) have come together to bring gamers a top-flight adventure.  Collaborating on the upcoming action shooter, ACE COMBAT® ASSAULT HORIZON, the USAF and NAMCO BANDAI Games as well as fellow partner GameSpot, are bringing fans of the critically-acclaimed ACE COMBAT franchise unique resources, including exclusive video content and a custom aircraft skin. Players can access the content from GameSpot.com, the video game site that delivers trusted news and reviews to millions of gamers worldwide.

Throughout the campaign of the game, the USAF and GameSpot have released a series of custom videos and interviews providing gamers with a deeper look into the world of ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON and the lengths to which the development team, Project Aces, went to ensure the accuracy of the aircraft models and an accurate real-world setting.  In addition to the USAF partnership, the Project Acesteamhas collaborated with additional military organizations like the Department of Defense and aircraft manufacturers to bring gamers the most thrilling aerial combat imaginable in the sky and on the ground.

In association with USAF’s collaboration of the game, the organization has designed and created the F-16C Patriot custom aircraft skin exclusively for ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON which will be available for download starting in November as a DLC item on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Fans will be able to get their hands on the F-16C Patriot skin by obtaining an exclusive downloadable code at www.GameSpot.com. Codes may also be distributed by NAMCO BANDAI Games and USAF through various promotional activities.

“Throughout the Ace Combat series, our relationships with the various military organizations and the aircraft manufacturers have been an invaluable resource to the development team,” said Carlson Choi, Vice President of Marketing, NAMCO BANDAI Games America.  “Our deepened partnership with United States Air Force on ‘Ace Combat Assault Horizon’ has been especially rewarding gearing up to launch and will ultimately benefit our fans with unique downloadable content for the game.”

“As the Air Force’s first in-game integration, the Ace Combat series allows us to tell our story in a non-traditional way and connect with our audience in an environment where they are already engaged,” said Col. Michael Tillema, Chief, Air Force Recruiting Service Strategic Marketing and Communication. “We’re thrilled to work with NAMCO BANDAI and GameSpot on this content-rich gaming partnership.”

Developed by the Project Aces team at NAMCO BANDAI Games Inc., in Japan, ACE COMBAT ASSAULT HORIZON brings a new intensity to the franchise, escalating combat to the next level with aircrafts that are literally torn apart, spewing oil and debris across the sky. Players will engage in intense single player and online multiplayer combat over real world locations, dodging skyscrapers and turning enemies into fiery supersonic debris. Never before has combat been so fast and in-your-face.
