When it comes to the argument between game controller or motion controls, can’t we all just get along? Capcom seems to think so and is trying to prove their point with a new Steel Battalion game.
Steel: Battalion: Heavy Armor is headed exclusively to the Xbox 360 and will blend both controller and motion based gameplay into a single package. You will be using the Kinect peripheral to control your tanks and mechs using a variety of gestures; this includes actions such as operating scopes, maneuvering the machine, and manning turrets and guns. When the action kicks in though you will need to grab hold of your Xbox 360 controller to take to the action as if it were a normal game.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the final product; is the Kinect the solution to replacing a $200 peripheral?
