IGN.com reported today that
Gears of War 3 will get new single-player content that will be available for download on December 13th for a whopping 1,200 Microsoft Points ($15.00), unless you have purchased the season pass. Then you get it for free. The DLC is titled
RAAM's Shadow, and fans who've been with the series since the beginning should appreciate the return of Gear's first villain. Obviously, since necromancy doesn't exist in the Gears of War universe,
RAAM's Shadow is a prequel that takes place on Sera right after Emergence Day. Gamers will play as Zeta Squad which includes GoW graphic novel star Michael Barrick, Minh Young Kim, and Tai Kaliso, along with brand-new character Alicia Valera. The best part? RAAM will be a playable character for the first time in a campaign setting.
It's nice to see that Epic hasn't forgot about those lonely single-player focused gamers.
RAAM's Shadow is being called Gear's biggest DLC ever. And it should be giving its relatively hefty price tag.
