"I'm still alive," proclaims forlorn Ubisoft title, I Am Alive. In a way, I Am Alive's story could be viewed as a parable that dovetails nicely with the game's troubled development history. It was announced, delayed, delayed again, demote from full retail release to downloadable title, delayed yet again, then all together disappeared with only rumors hinting at its continued existence. Today, Ubisoft seemingly put the rumors to bed by releasing a trailer for I Am Alive. What was a disaster survival game seems to have morphed into a post-apocalyptic 3rd person action-adventure title. As I alluded to before, it reminded me of The Road, but with more parkour and less suicidal depression. Whatever it turns out to be, I Am Alive is set for release this winter for the XBLA and PSN.
