The latest video to be released in the
Inversion gameplay series showcases the ways in which the player can manipulate gravity to their advantage. The player has the ability to use the gravlink that tosses enemies around in either low or high gravity. The video also features some footage of levels undergoing vector shifts that literally alter the plane of gravity in the world. The gameplay mechanics do seem a bit rough, but the use of gravity in the game is quite unique.
Inversion will be available next year on February 7 in North America and February 10 in Europe for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
NAMCO BANDAI Games has put together another installment of in-depth INVERSION Video Interview series. The video showcases the new offensive gameplay that players will experience in the title’s gravity-bending third-person shooter world. Within the extensive 4-minute video, Rich “FilthieRich” Bantegui from the NAMCO BANDAI community team speaks with producer Ken Mah as they discuss the game’s incredible gravlink, including techniques on using the low-gravity and high-gravity powers, the zero gravity sections and the world-flipping vector shifts that change the gravitation plane of the map. The upcoming gravity-shifting third-person shooter will be released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 on February 7, 2012 in North America and February 10, 2012 in Europe.
INVERSION is an exciting new take on the shooter genre, with vector-shifting gameplay that has players shooting from the sides of buildings and fragging opponents while upside-down. In INVERSION, players take on the role of a young father and husband, Davis Russel, who finds himself thrust into war when his peaceful city is invaded by an unknown enemy. With his daughter missing and conventional weapons and tactics all but useless, this ordinary cop and his partner Leo Delgado will rise up to heed the call of duty, master the fundamental forces of gravity and save the world.
