GoldenEye 007 Reloaded accquires 00-Agent status
If you're a PS3 owner then you'll be able to get something extra with your
GoldenEye 007 Reloaded package this holiday. Activision is releasing a special 00-Agent bundle that has the game and just about every disparate piece of PS Move hardware to get you started, including the Sharpshooter light gun. You can also get an exclusive downloadable multi character, Hugo Drax, the goatee'd villain from Moonraker. Personally I would've preferred Max Zorin from View to a Kill, complete with villainous motion capture provided by Christopher Walken.
To be honest I'm having difficulty getting excited for GoldenEye on the HD consoles, amazing game as it is. I know there are new goodies included but it's all icing on a cake that I devoured last November on the Wii--same with most of the Wii games getting ported over to PS Move years after their original launch. Sorry, been there, played that.
What I'd really like is that GoldenEye 64 HD port that 4J Studios was making for XBLA, much like the
excellent one they did for Perfect Dark last year. Supposedly it was almost done, and I thought the whole problem keeping them from releasing it was that Nintendo had some rights deal keeping GoldenEye off the Xbox 360. With Reloaded headed to the 360 that apparently isn't an issue anymore, so where's GoldenEye 64 HD? I've played my modern GoldenEye re-imagining already on the Wii, loved it, thanks, don't need to buy it for another console. Now could I relive the N64 original in HD, please?
