It's too bad really that sales of
Red Faction: Armageddon did so poorly. Because of that, THQ's has put the kibosh on the franchise as
Eurogamer reports.
In an investor call, CEO Brian Farrell said that the team is now focusing on Guillermo del Toro's
inSane project instead.
Some of my best memories in 2009 was playing
Red Faction: Guerrilla with the folks at THQ and other members of the press in a Vegas event. I thought the franchise was starting to pick up again after the long hiatus, but admittedly I haven't found time to try out Armageddon. Chuck
thought it was a solid title for the franchise.
So now we have Red Faction being shelved and still no new Freespace. Let's hope
Saint's Row The Third does well in sales so that franchise doesn't go down as well.
