Sony has
lifted the veil on a slew of details about the upcoming PS3 port of the Wii-classic with
House of the Dead: Overkill- Extended Cut. In addition to revealing the official boxart for the game and a variety of screens. The Official PlayStation Blog also details all of the exclusive features that are being added to the new, HD version of the game.
I absolutely loved the original version and cannot wait for the new and improved edition. This will likely be the game that pushes me to finally buy a PlayStation Move. When the game launches this October, you can expect to find the following:
-
fully remastered visuals in HD with full stereoscopic 3D support
-
2 additional levels
-
new crossbow weapon
-
new enemies in the form of baby mutants
-
new Hardcore Mode which requires headshots to take down your enemies
-
new Classic Mode which requires players to stick with the original gun, the AMS Magnum
-
online leaderboards
-
PlayStation Network trophy support
There are plenty more things being added to the game including collectibles scattered throughout the levels, improved boss fights, and extended sequences in the existing levels. The game will, of course, take full advantage of both the PlayStation Move and the Sharp Shooter. CHeck it out when the game launches on October 25, 2011.
