SF3: Third Strike Online art impresses as much as the game

Capcom has released a large batch of images depicted the updated version of Street Fighter 3: Third Strike Online’s characters by artist Stanley Lau. These new character designs really add a sense of “character” to the different personas, which there happen to be a wide variety of in the game. The new version of the classic fighter is coming to both the Xbox Live Arcade and Playstation Network later this summer with a slew of new modes and features.
The Street Fighter 3 series is vastly underrated in the Street Fighter hierarchy and its popularity rose in the tournament circles rather than the mainstream market. I always thought that the game had absolutely gorgeous visuals which included animations way ahead of their time and something that wasn’t matched until many years later.
