Hope your machine has some horsepower (Battlefield 3)

GameStop has posted a list of both the minimum and recommendation machine specifications for the upcoming Battelfield 3. I think that we all knew that it was going to take some serious horsepower to run the game in a manner to make it look as good as it has appeared in the early previews and our instincts appear to be correct. Here is what is being reported for the game’s requirements:

Minimum specs:
  • 15 GB HD space (10 GB for digital version)
  • Windows Vista or Windows 7
  • Processor: Core 2 Duo @ 2.0GHz
  • RAM 2GB
  • Video Card: DirectX 10 or 11 compatible Nvidia or AMD ATI card
Recommended specs:
  • 15 GB HD space (10 GB for digital version)
  • Windows 7 64-bit
  • Processor: Quad-core Intel or AMD CPU
  • RAM 4GB
  • Video Card: DirectX 11 Nvidia or AMD ATI card, GeForce GTX 460, Radeon Radeon HD 6850
