And that's exactly the amount of time the team behind Mario and Sonic at The London 2012 Olympic Games has, so they've come up with all sorts of great ideas to improve upon their title.
There are new events like Rhythm Ribbon, which has you use the Wiimote to spin and twirl through your rhythmic routine. While twirling around a baton as Princess Peach might not sound too appealing to some gamers out there trust me when I say it's an event that becomes infinitely more amusing when performed by a middle aged Japanese game producer.
Then there's the new Dream events like Dream Equestrian, that allows you and up to four other players a chance to horse race a cart full of Yoshi eggs down a hill, working as a team to avoid obstacles and save as many of the would-be dinos from extinction as you can.
And if all that wasn't enough, there's also a ton of new, super-quick Wario-Ware style games to be played in the new London Party Mode. You'll play minute-long versions of Cops and Robbers and do some short obstacle races as well just for a few examples. All in all there will be 50 mini-games for you to choose from in the party mode.
