Bruno Mars, Rise Against and more Pro upgrades hitting Rock Band next week

You gotta love Harmonix, as they have brought another popular artist to Rock Band and added to the collections of a few of the most popular bands already in the game. Next week will see the debut of Bruno Mars with three tracks from his Doo-Wop & Hooligans album including the infectious ‘Just the way You Are’. In addition, Rise Against is getting three more tracks added to their Rock Band library, including their best seller ‘Help is on the Way’. I personally am excited about the two upgrades, as both ‘Kickstart My Heart’ and ‘Even Flow’ are getting the Pro Upgrade add-on treatment.

Pricing will be $0.99/80 MS Pts/100 Wii Pts for the Pro Guitar/Pro Bass upgrade, $1.99/160 MS Pts/200 Wii Pts per song and $5.49/440 MS Pts/550 Wii Pts for either the Bruno Mars Pack 01 or Rise Against Pack 02. Check out all the new DLC:

Bruno Mars Makes His Rock Band Debut
& Rise Against Adds Three More Songs


Cambridge, Mass. – June 3, 2011– Harmonix today announced that a three pack of songs from Bruno Mars and a three pack of songs from Rise Against will be available beginning June 7 in theRock Band 3Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Wii™.

Rock Bandprovides the deepest and best selection of artists, songs and albums through the Rock Band music platform, which features more than 900 artists and more than 2,700* tracks via disc and download purchase (complete list of tracks at www.rockband.com/songs). Rock Band’sgigantic music library dwarfs that of any other rhythm video game on the market. More than 100 million songs have been sold through the Rock Band Music Store since its launch Nov. 20, 2007.

Next week also marks the return of Rise Against to the Rock Band catalog, bringing a three pack featuring “Audience of One”, “Help Is on the Way” and “The Good Left Undone”. Pro Upgrades are available for both “Audience of One” and “The Good Left Undone”. Rise Against released their sixth studio album Endgame earlier this year. In addition, Harmonix is also releasing Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrades for two back-catalog songs – “Kickstart My Heart” from Mötley Crüe and “Even Flow” from Pearl Jam. Fans who have already downloaded those songs will be able to purchase a simple upgrade that will allow them to play Pro Guitar and Pro Bass on those songs in Rock Band 3. For fans that haven’t yet purchased those songs – this is a great opportunity to do so!

As always, songs available as downloadable content for Rock Band 3 feature five-button guitar and bass parts, drums, Pro Drums, and keys, Pro Keys and harmonies, where applicable. Some songs also feature Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrades available for an additional $0.99 upgrade download.
