Touching is good with Anomaly Warzone Earth
11 Bit Studios is taking another step with its PC and Mac based game, Anomaly Warzone Earth, by including touchscreen compatibility this June. While many PC gamers prefer to build their systems by hand, there has been an influx of touchscreen capable PCs that have been hitting the market. While tower defense games are not graphic intensive and require a heavy hitting graphics card, you have to wonder what the touchscreen is going to do, if anything, for such a game. With the touchscreen add-on becoming available in just a few weeks, we will get to see first-hand how it handles it.
May 24, 2011 (Warsaw): 11 bit studios is happy to announce that its acclaimed tower-offense game, Anomaly Warzone Earth, will soon be compatible with touch screens for the PC, offering even greater control over the game that IGN called, “a clever twist on tower defense that will rope back in gamers that think they've had enough of the well-worn formula.” Already a smash with gamers on traditional PC and Mac platforms, Anomaly will soon give those with access to a PC touch screen the chance to experience the next generation of computer user interface. Drag and poke your squad to navigate the dangerous maze of alien turrets!
The touch screen compatibility will go live on June 23, 2011.
