DC Comics has released the first issue of a 5 issue series meant to set the stage for October’s
Batman: Arkham City. The miniseries, which was originally announced to be a 6-issue story, was announced back in Feburary.
The comic is available through both comic book retailers as well as
DC Comics’ online store in digital format. The story was penned by Paul Dini, who is perhaps best known for his work on Superman: The Animated Series, Batman Beyond, and numerous other DC works. The subsequent issues will be released periodically as we approach the game’s release. Throughout the series, players will learn more about the events that have transpired between the end of the first game and the start of the second, which spanned the course of a calendar year. The newly elected Mayor of Gotham City, Quincy Shapr, has decided to shut down the Asylum that he formerly ran and establishes a new maximum security “city” to house Gotham’s most dangerous criminals.
Yeah, I am sure that plan is going to work out well...
