I was already bored with Pirates of the Caribbean by the time the aimless sequel was over, and it took some real willpower to sit through the excruciatingly long At World's End, so as you can imagine I'm not exactly planning to line up for the fourth movie. Luckily for fans of the series you get all four movies in one package with Lego Pirates of the Caribbean, as this trailer for the On Stranger Tides section demonstrates. I'm sure Traveler's Tales will find a way to double-dip this game just like they did with the Lego Star Wars titles, but a complete package does cut down on that a bit.
Is it just me or does it seem like every over-hyped movie or TV franchise is getting the Lego treatment these days? It was kind of novel and clever with Star Wars, but the appeal is wearing thin after Batman, Indiana Jones and yet more Star Wars. Why can't we get a Megablocks Halo game to go with those adorable little Master Chief sets? Or maybe a retro Lego Nintendo game? Those old 8-bitters already look like they're made of blocks so it'd be a perfect fit.
