Sega has released the first gameplay trailer and screenshots for
Binary Domain, visible below. Set in a futuristic Tokyo, the game puts players in the midst of humanity's battle to keep the world fall falling into the complete control of their robotic enemies.
Binary Domain was announced a few months back as a new IP developed and published by Sega. The game, which is coming to both the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, is scheduled for release in 2012. I think that it will be interesting to see how Sega handles a new IP set in the squad-based shooter genre; the company has really been on the upswing thanks to the Platinum Games developed titles released over the past couple of years... I just hope that same charm has rubbed off on their development wing(s)...
