Today, when my son wanted to watch something on
Netflix and there was an update. I didn't think twice about it, but now I know what it does.
Major Nelson has posted that the update will now enable Netflix to work with
Kinect. I was wondering why this wasn't implemented in the first place when the product first came out, but better late than never.
So now, you can wave you hand around and control Netflix without a need for the controller. This is actually kind of helpful for me since the IR receiver on my 360 seems a little flaky, so now I can just use Kinect to control it all. I've been using a Harmony remote, but with Kinect I can do away with it. Now, I just wish I could turn on the 360 without the need for my remote.
