Capcom has finally come clean about the fate of the Arcade Edition content of Super Street Fighter IV... it is in fact heading to consoles this summer. In fact, it isn’t just hitting the Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 but the PC as well.
Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition will bring all of the features of the arcade hit home and add a slew of console / PC exclusive elements. Not only will the four new characters present in the version make their way home, but the game will also feature an updated replay channel including advanced sorting options and a subscription / follower feature, complete rebalancing of the entire roster, and the availability of all characters from the start.
There will be two ways to obtain the content. First off, existing SSF4 players can download the update from either the Xbox Live Marketplace or PlayStation Network beginning on June 7 for $14.99. If you don’t already own the standard SSF4 game then a full retail version will be launching later in June for $39.99 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
