Developer Housemarque has been hard at work on their latest exclusive title for Sony’s PlayStation Network.
Outland, which was originally announced last fall, will take players on a side-scrolling adventure filled with platforming and swordplay. The title is being prepared for a release this Spring and is shaping up rather nicely.
In a recent post on the
Official PlayStation Blog, new details and screenshots of the game have been released. Players control a nameless spiritual warrior who faces a series of haunted visions. Driven nearly mad by the barrage of hallucinations, the warrior seeks out a shaman to guide him through his troubling times. Through the shaman, our character learns you have been selected by fate to partake in a timeless battle with the creators of your world. The gameplay focuses on sword play and acrobatics along with free-roaming exploration. All of this is presented with a dark, “artsy” visual style. Players will be able to partake in the adventure both alone and with a friend via the support cooperative multiplayer.
We should be learning a lot more about this game in the next few weeks as we approach its release either this April or May. In the mean time, check out the latest screenshots for the game below:
