Harmonix is bringing a couple of cool bands to
Rock Band DLC this week with three tracks from Depeche Mode and one Grammy nominated track from Death Cab for Cutie. Both bands have dedicated followers and their fans should be pleased with the selection of songs. Pricing will be $0.99 for Pro Guitar and Pro Bass mode on “Personal Jesus”, $1.99/160 MS Pts/200 Wii Pts for each individual track and $5.49/440 MS Pts/550 Wii Pts for the Depeche Mode Pack 01. Looks like a good week to stock up on some points.

ROCK BAND NEXT WEEK!
Cambridge, Mass. – March 4, 2011 – Harmonix today announced that a three-pack of songs from Depeche Mode, as well as a single from Death Cab For Cutie, will be available beginning March 8 in the Rock Band 3 Music Store of downloadable content for the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Wii™.
Rock Band provides the deepest and best selection of artists, songs and albums through the Rock Band music platform, which features more than 800 artists and more than 2,500* tracks via disc and download purchase (complete list of tracks at www.rockband.com/songs). Rock Band’s gigantic music library dwarfs that of any other rhythm video game on the market. More than 75 million songs have been sold through the Rock Band Music Store since its launch Nov. 20, 2007.
Rock Band DLC Additions for Xbox 360, PlayStation®3 system and Wii
After selling more than 100 million albums and singles worldwide, Depeche Mode is the most successful electronic band in music history, and next week, they’ll be bringing three of their fan-favorites to Rock Band 3. Depeche Mode Pack 01 will include “Never Let Me Down Again” from their 1987 album Music For the Masses, “Policy of Truth” from the 1990 album Violator and, from the same album, “Personal Jesus,” which is ranked on Rolling Stone’s 500 Greatest Songs of All Time and has been covered by Johnny Cash, Marilyn Manson and others.
“I Will Possess Your Heart” from American rockers Death Cab For Cutie will also be available for Rock Band 3 next week. The song, which was nominated for a 2009 GRAMMY® Award, is from the band’s sixth album, Narrow Stairs, which was released in 2008. Death Cab For Cutie is releasing a new album, Codes and Keys, in May.
As always, songs available as downloadable content for Rock Band 3 feature five-button guitar and bass parts, drums, Pro Drums, and keys, Pro Keys and harmonies, where applicable. Some songs also feature Pro Guitar and Pro Bass upgrades available for an additional $0.99 upgrade download.
