The first DLC for
Marvel vs. Capcom 3 is now available on both the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Network. Two separate packs have been made available for fans of the insane fighter which were
previously announced.
The first item available is the Shadow Mode pack which is available at no additional cost. This new mode allows players to face off against computer controlled teams that use AI based on prominent members of the game’s development team. This pack in particular features the likes of Ryota Niitsuma, Akihito Kadowaki, and one of the QA testers from Capcom Japan. This is just the first of many Shadow Mode packs that will be released for the game. The other item is a costume pack which features new outfits for Ryu, Iron Man, Captain America, Dante, Thor, and Chris Redfield. Unlike Shadow Mode, this pack will set you back $4.99 / 400 MS points.
I hate to go against the grain of the anti-DLC movement, but I will be buying the costume pack as soon as I get home tonight. I love MvC3 and will support it in every way possible throughout its lifespan, which includes this costume pack and any that will be released in the future... I don’t do this with a lot of games but I will the titles that I love, such as Marvel vs. Capcom 3.
