The fiasco that was the DRM scheme that Ubisoft used in
Assassin's Creed 2 looks to be a thing of the past. If you don't remember, you had to constantly be online to play the game on the PC, which can be a hassle for those that are playing single player and can't always have a connection at hand or lose it in the process.
Ubisoft is thankfully dropping the scheme for
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood for the PC,
VG247 is reporting. It will check once when you have it installed and then you're good to go. Personally, whoever came up with the idea of always on validation and making you lose progress if it fails should be taken out for thirty lashes.
At least Ubisoft didn't use Starforce.
