Voltron: Defender of the Universe
I am a child of the 80‘s and I love the classics like Masters of the Universe, Transformers, GI Joe, Thundercats, and of course, Voltron: Defender of the Universe. World Events Productions is bringing the Voltron series back for a new generation later this year with a new series entitled Voltron Force. It turns out, THQ will be bringing the original series back as well in the form of a new game.
There are absolutely zero details available regarding THQ’s project(s) aside from the fact that it exists. The announcement that THQ had secured the rights to produce games based on Voltron and release them alongside the new series was made in a recent Variety article. The new series is said to be based on the original 80‘s cartoon and not the new vision launching on Nicktoons this year. I find that THQ has been making great strides to become one of the top companies in the gaming industry and really hope that the creation that comes from this project only serves to support that feeling. I would love to have a true to the original-series Voltron game and hopefully that is what we are going to get. Now, let’s talk about Thundercats and He-Man...
