Dead Space 2 has only been available for about 48 hours and Electronic Arts is already prepping gamers for the next chapter in the adventure. EA has announced the first downloadable content pack for the game, entitled
Dead Space 2: Severed, which will launch later this year for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
The Severed DLC pack will add two additional single-player chapters to the game that run concurrently with Isaac’s story. The two new chapters will bring back some characters from the series’ past which were featured in Dead Space: Extraction. The players will assume the role of a Scrawl security guard by the name of Game Weller (from Extraction) and chronicle his attempt to escape the Necromorph attack.
The exact date and pricing of the pack has not been announced but is listed as “coming soon” by EA. THe announcement was made for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game; a PC version has not been announced at this time.
