PlayStation Portable owners who were anxiously awaiting Sega’s upcoming
Thor: God of Thunder game are about to have the rug pulled out from under them. Sega has officially announced that the PSP version of the game, scheduled for release on April 29, 2011 for pretty much all of the current consoles and handhelds, has been canceled.
Aside from the blanket statement regarding the cancellation, Sega hasn’t offered any form of explanation for the cancellation of the PSP version. Personally, I wonder if this cancellation is due, at least in part, to the possible pending announcement of the PlayStation Portable 2. Many consider the PSP to be in the last stages of its lifespan, but then again one would assume that the game was as good as completed this close to the release date. Who knows... all that we know is that the PSP version isn’t coming. Sorry...
