Microsoft wants you to be their game changer

With the release of Windows Phone 7, Microsoft is hoping to compete with the likes of Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android when it comes to op system and customer applications. In order to do this, Microsoft is looking to make the best apps possible for your Windows Phone 7 devices. Enter you, budding app developer.

Microsoft is holding their Snapdragon Game Changer App contest that allows the user to come up with the next great Windows Phone 7 App powered by Snapdragon and possibly win $1000, a Windows phone and an Xbox 360 with Kinect and add your name to an app in the Windows Phone Marketplace.  The details are pretty simple:

• The best idea will win $1,000 and a new Windows Phone.
• Seven runners-up will receive an Xbox 360 250 GB Console with Kinect which brings games and entertainment to life in extraordinary new ways without using a controller.
• Microsoft will develop one of the winning ideas into a finished app and make it available as a free download on the Windows Phone Marketplace.
