Microsoft has launched a referral program to help promote
Xbox Live. The program, which launched last week, rewards Xbox Live Gold members for referring friends and family members to Gold program with an assortment of benefits.
If you are a current Gold member and refer a friend to the
official site, when and if they sign up for the service, you will get to choose from one of four rewards. Your choices include the following options:

Get your free member friend to go Gold and (1) you and your friend will each get 400 Microsoft Points or (2) 600 Microsoft Points, depending on the active offer.

Get your free member friend to go Gold and (3) you and your friend will get a multiplayer Xbox Live Arcade game of Microsoft's choosing.

Get your free member friend to try Gold with a promotional token good for 1 month of Gold, and (4) if your friend redeems the token within 30 days, you'll get 200 Microsoft Points.
The promotion will run through July 1, 2011 and you can refer up to 5 friends per day. Even though you can refer that many friends, there is a limit which holds you to one of each reward.
