One of the best parts of going the same shows every year is that you get to follow product lines and companies as they develop over time. I really enjoy seeing a new company come along, and starting a relationship and product grow that I'll be able to follow. A few months ago,
snakebyte launched in the US with a line of Wii accessories, including the
Premium Fitness Board which I am in the process of reviewing.
I hadn't yet seen their Wii Remotes, or their upcoming PS3 line, and Mitch Perliss was kind enough to show me their entire Wii line, including their Premium Remote XL+ Contollers with integrated and their Minimote, which is designed for kids or smaller hands. The rubberized feel and integrated Wii Motion Plus plus somewhat a bit of a value price point make the XL+ controllers look like a sure hit. Mr. Perliss also walked me through the upcoming PS3 line, which I have to admit I was kind of excited about even though I don't have a PS3 of my own. While I can't say much about it yet, like Memorex they have a "Maystation Plove" controller on deck, along with a navigation controller and charging station that I was able to take pictures of. They also have a Bluetooth PS3 controller that is already on the market along with a Final Fantasy branded controller on the way.
I've covered a lot of the basics of their products in news releases but it was great to get my hands on the actual products and hopefully we'll be able to work out some review units once the buzz and busy of CES has died away.
