CES 2010 was the first time I remember hearing about
iBUYPOWER, so when I went to check them out, I was pleasantly surprised about what they offered, and what they were developing. While the
Xbox 360/PC hybrid prototype they had on display last year never made it to production, some of their other insanely cool gaming centric items did.
First, they'ved upped the ante on their Chimera line with the customizable
Chimera XLC, which starts at $1099. It maxes out at 7 drives, 7 fans and 24 GB of RAM. And that's not even their biggest box.
The real granddaddy in iBUYPOWER's line is the Erebus, which offers a maximum of 10 x 120 liquid cooling setup in a case that truly deserves it's own room. And of course there's the Level 10, which this year actually managed to get slightly smaller, but frankly a PC built like a tank should be big.
Between the solid state professional cases, the pro wiring option, and all the different loadouts you can customize your PC with, it's not hard to see why iBUYPOWER is so successful right now.
