In the past, I have openly admitted to being a wrestling fan... I can’t help it, I grew up watching it and still can’t pull myself away. Recently, I have been doing a lot more playing than watching thanks to THQ’s incredible Smackdown vs. Raw 2011. One of the joys of modern wrestling games is the included character creation tools which allow players to create and use their own character. I have, admittedly, never been good at using these things and always turn out incredibly un-original characters that don’t even look as good as the original sprites from the NES version of Pro Wrestling. There are people out there who know how to put these tools to use though... like Xbox 360 user jim784m.
Jim784m has painstakingly reproduced a ton of characters from Capcom’s Street Fighter universe in THQ’s latest wrestling title, and they can all be downloaded on the Xbox 360 version of the game using the community creations option. Normally I wouldn’t highlight something like this, because video game character creations are a dime a dozen in wrestling games, as any fan will tell you, and they are almost always horrid representations of the original character concepts. That isn’t the case with jiim784m’s creations though; these custom characters look good enough to be official creations from the team(s) at THQ and Capcom. You can take a peak at his work in the trailer he released on his Youtube page below and see just how much work he put into these creations.
