I have always found it a little interesting that a series as critically acclaimed as the Dragon Quest series still lacked the worldwide exposure that it demands. That has slowly been changing over the past couple of years, in Dragon Quest’s case at least, thanks to the efforts of Square Enix. One of the biggest titles of the series,
Dragon Quest VI, has long been out of the reach of American gamers thanks to the Japanese-English language barrier but that is about to change.
Square Enix has announced that they are (finally) bringing Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation to North America to the Nintendo DS on February 14, 2011. The game was a huge hit in Japan when it was originally released back in 1005 and this marks the first time that the game has been officially released outside of Japan. Japanese gamers have had access to the DS-remake of the game since January 2010.
Hold tight DQ fans, just a little over a month to go...
