Closer look at the Mortal Kombat arcade stick

NetherRealm Studios has released images of the special edition version of the upcoming Mortal Kombat that were announced last week. Images have been shown of all of the various packages, including the Tournament Edition which includes an actual arcade stick.
The arcade stick looks pretty slick and dubs as a storage unit for transporting games as well. As you can see in the images below, the top panel of the stick lifts up to reveal storage space below that will hold at least one game. There is a slight chance that the stick will be available for purchase separately according to a statement on the official Mortal Kombat Twitter feed.
When the question was posed to the staff of the official feed as to whether the stick would be produced for sale separately, the NetherRealm staff replied with the following:
“That is a possibility. Nothing confirmed yet.”
The Twitter feed also confirmed that the retro ninja costumes offered by various retailers would eventually be made available to all owners of the game, though the details have not been set in stone. In the end, we will all have access to the same content...
