Capcom is putting a lot of weight behind its upcoming
Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective. The developer has extremely high hopes for the next game from the same development team who made the creator of the Ace Attorney series. The DS game still hasn’t launched outside of Japan, launching on January 11, 2011 in North America, but Capcom is already porting the game to other systems in Japan.
The Japanese version of the game launched back in June for Nintendo’s handheld and it was released today for the iPhone and iPod Touch as an episodic title. The iOs port of the game is being reported as a direct port of the DS title, simply broken up into peices. The first two chapters of the game is available for free and additional sets of chapters can be purchased individually or as a complete set.
Capcom hasn’t confirmed a release outside of Japan, but it hasn’t been ruled out either. Numerous other Capcom titles have launched in Japan for the iOs and made their way to the rest of the world including the Phoenix Wright and Resident Evil series. Let’s cross our fingers and hope that Ghost Trick follows in those footsteps...
