When I posted the teaser for
Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, I wondered what engine they would use to power the new Oblivion game. Was it going to be an improved Gamebryo engine that powered the previous game and
Fallout 3 or would they take iD's
Rage engine and go from there.
Well, Bethesda has
confirmed through Twitter that it's a brand new internal engine and they say it's spectacular. That's great news as, let's be honest, the Gamebryo engine was getting long in the tooth.
Fallout: New Vegas looked OK for today, but now I'm really excited to see screenshots of Skyrim and what Bethesda has up their sleeves.
