Nathan Drake’s adventures are far from over as Sony and Naughty Dog are preparing
Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception for a 2011 release.
Entertainment Weekly revealed the title’s announcement and quite a bit of information regarding the game this morning.
The third title in the Uncharted series will focus on the relationship between Nathan Drake and Victor “Sully” Sullivan as they venture through the Arabian Peninsula. A lot of the rumors about the title that have been floating around appear to be true, as a major portion of the game will take Drake in and through the desert. Nate has a history of chasing down the unfinished work of adventurers from the past, and this time around he is following the footsteps of T.E. Lawrence and the trails he laid during his time as an archaeologist.
EW and Naughty Dog are keeping many of the details quiet right now, but it is confirmed that the new game will also feature extensive cooperative and competitive multiplayer building upon the foundation laid in the second game. In the meantime, you can check out two early screens from the game below. EW is hosting an exclusive announcement trailer at the link above which states that the full reveal trailer will air at this weekend’s Spike TV Video Game Awards.
