EA is already looking to the future for the Need for Speed series as the company has announced Need for Speed: SHIFT 2. The next installment in the racing series is being handled by Slightly Mad Studios and is being developed for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
Need for Speed: SHIFT 2 looks to build on the networking groundwork that has been laid by this weeks’ Hot Pursuit; the game is being developed to incorporate the Autolog feature in order to keep friends and competitors connect in the game. The developers have also stated that the next installment is receiving a major graphics overhaul, which is insane considering how great the recent games have looked.
