Namco Bandai made a batch of new screenshots and artwork available for
Splatterhouse today. In the press release, it also gave a brief synopsis of the game's story. I quote:
Splatterhouse follows college student Rick Taylor as he embarks on a mission to rescue his girlfriend, Jennifer, who has disappeared after entering a mysterious run-down mansion inhabited by an elusive scientist, Dr. West. Confronted by otherworldly horrific abominations under Dr. West’s control, Rick turns to a mystical sentient mask that promises to give him the power to reunite with his beloved Jennifer. Full of desperation, Rick dons the “Mayan Terror Mask” and is transformed into a raging juggernaut, unleashing unadulterated violence and destruction upon anything that stands in his way.
At least we know that things aren't getting torn apart for no reason! The game will squish its way into stores on November 23 and will certainly earn every fluid ounce of its M rating.
We’re only a couple of weeks away from the long awaited launch of Splatterhouse! Today we have new screenshots focusing solely on Splatter Kills. These are the most shock and awe inspiring moments in Splatterhouse where the player initiates a special kill to attain massive amounts of blood and gore!

Expanding on the accessibility of the Splatterhouse brand, the classic version of the game will launch on mobile around the same time, including iPhone, JAVA, BREW, RIM and Windows Mobile.
