If you're a fan of
Section 8 or a shooter fans with nothing to do (or at least no money in your pocket for games) you might want to head over to the
website for
Section 8:Prejudice and sign up for the multiplayer beta. The folks at Timegate Studios are taking applications now for the beta which will be released later this fall and will allow you to get your first taste of the game and the improvements they've made over the first game (which was a fairly solid game).
To give you a taste of the game here are a few screenshots from the beta to get you primed and ready.
Section 8®: Prejudice™ Multiplayer Beta Announced
Sugar Land, Texas – October 19, 2010 – Award-winning independent developer and publisher TimeGate Studios is pleased to announce it will host a multiplayer beta for its forthcoming sci-fi shooter sequel Section 8: Prejudice on Windows PC. Sign-ups for the beta test are now open at www.warisprejudice.com, with the test currently planned to launch this fall.
The beta will provide participants with their first taste of the new features and content introduced in Prejudice, as well as the enhanced Games for Windows-LIVE integration that includes streamlined matchmaking and improved server browsing.
“Feedback from the original Section 8 played a key role in how we shaped Prejudice,” said Adel Chaveleh, CEO of TimeGate Studios, “and our multiplayer beta provides the perfect opportunity to further our commitment to the IP and our community. We’re very excited to directly engage with our fan base during the beta to see how players react to new features and content. Their valuable feedback will directly shape the final shipping multiplayer experience.”
Prejudice is currently expected to arrive on Windows PC, Xbox 360®video game and entertainment system from Microsoft, and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system in early 2011, offering both exciting, large-scale multiplayer gameplay experience and an engaging single-player campaign.
