iOS 4.1 now available…commence Game Center

New iPods and a new op system are now available, and they bring a big win for gamers. Included in the iOS 4.1 will be Apple's Game Center, which hopefully will be a system that helps do away with the hodgepodge of multiplayer systems that have been developed by various companies. In addition to friend requests, multi-player games on the internet and auto-matching, the Game Center will have achievements and leaderboards. About time.
As for the rest of the updates, they are geared toward the items announced at least weeks Apple conference including HDR Photos, iTunes TV Show rentals, Face Time calling, Bug Fixes and more. The new op system is available for the iPhone 4, 3Gs, 3G and iPod Touch 2nd gen or later. Check out the full list below:

This update contains improvements, including the following:

- Send and receive friend requests
- Invite friends to multi-player games over the Internet
- Play multi-player games by auto-matching with other players
- View Leaderboards and Achievements
- Discover new games from friends
• High dynamic range (HDR) photos on iPhone 4
• Support for TV show rentals on iTunes
• Ability to upload HD videos to YouTube and MobileMe over Wi-Fi on iPhone 4
• Additional support for AVRCP-supported accessories, including next & previous track control
• FaceTime calling directly from Favorites
• Bug fixes, including:
- iPhone 4 proximity sensor performance
- iPhone 3G performance
- Nike+iPod fixes
- Bluetooth improvements
