Engadget reports Sony announcing the firmware update to enable 3D Blu-Ray playback won't be in until October. The update will enable you to watch all those 3D Blu-Rays that are out there. Ok, there aren't that many YET, and you'll need to shell out a lot of money for a 3D TV as well if you don't have one already but it's not too long now before your PlayStation 3 will be able to deliver you some stereoscopic 3D action.
