D3 will be bringing Treasure’s classic portable schmup Bangai-O into the high definition age with Bangai-O HD: Missile Fury for the Xbox Live Arcade. The title, which is being planned for later this fall, will bring more than 100 levels in HD glory along with a handy level editing tool.
Bangai-O has seen console releases in the past, with the Dreamcast version being the most prominent, but most of its critical acclaim came with its Nintendo DS versions. The HD version of the game will not only allow gamers to construct their own levels, but share them with friend’s over Xbox Live. Treasure is handling the development of the game and D3 will be publishing it for 800 MSP soon... but those of you who are at PAX this weekend will get to see the game for yourselves. (lucky dogs)
