PAX Prime is literally around the corner, and companies are already starting to tout the games and products they will be showing off. SouthPeak Interactive is one of the first to announce their lineup, with a list of four titles they will be showing off in their booth #132 at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle. For those in attendance, expect to see the following titles after you fight through the masses:
-
Two Worlds II
-
Battle vs. Chess
-
nail’d
-
SBK X
In addition, SouthPeak will be allowing attendees over the age of 10 to participate in a
nail’d time trial competition to win a 70cc Mini-Motocross Pit Bike. Unfortunately, the image of our EIC Chuck on a small 70CC dirt bike is now going to be burned into my head for the rest of the morning.

About Two Worlds II
Two Worlds II has lofty ambitions: to set a new high-quality benchmark for Western RPGs. The original Two Worlds was a global sales hit, but fell short of satisfying the goals of Poland-based developer Reality Pump and the wishes of fans. This sequel establishes Two Worlds II as an example of ground-breaking role-playing game content and design, offering an unforgettable fantasy experience.
Continuing the story begun in the first game, the outlook for the hero is bleak. The hero is locked deep within the fortress of the evil lord Gandohar. However, he is rescued by a force comprised of new allies who only a few years ago would have been his bitter enemies. From this daring raid, the hero is catapulted back into the center of a maelstrom. His quest begins anew: to save the orc race from eradication and to destroy the evil of Gandohar for good.
About Battle vs. Chess
Battle vs. Chess creates a fusion between professional chess software and upbeat, combat-oriented game mechanics, complete with richly animated game pieces and a diverse set of new game play twists to the classic strategy game. In addition to twisting up the experience of chess itself, the game adds vibrant fantasy touches, including six stunningly rendered game environments and re-imagined, fully animated game pieces such as hulking stone golems and beastly horsemen.
Adding yet another layer to the game are the Battle Modes, which if activated entirely change the nature of the game! Instead of triggering a pre-scripted combat animation, the act of invading an opposing unit’s position will throw the “advancing piece takes the square” rule out the window and engage both pieces in deadly combat. Various weapons, fighting techniques, even combos all play into the action, and to the victor go the spoils.
About nail’d
nail’d is all about eschewing boring realism for over-the-top arcade fun. It’s a racer that challenges everything from player reflexes to the rules of physics. Riding on ATVs and motocross bikes with powerful boost controls, players will race down near-vertical courses of incredible jumps, stunts and obstacles. The brutal challenge of the Yosemite National Park is but one of the many places they’ll learn the meaning of verticality.
nail’d’s single-player campaign features multiple configurable modes and races including Tournament, Time Attack and Quick Event. The multi-player mode allows players to compete head to head in a range of race-types locally or online. Earned points will determine a player’s position on leader boards. Based on the player’s performance and ability to pull off stunning feats of speed and glory during each race, they’ll unlock exciting new components to customize their vehicle.
About SBK X
SBK X, the latest in the Superbike World Championship series, offers an unmatched Superbike racing experience!
In the Simulation mode, players have the ability to customize their game experience to an intricate level. Does the rider’s weight and height affect your steering ability? Are your brakes tuned before every race to work best with the current track conditions? And if you’re a novice to the genre, the realism can be toned down until you really get the hang of it- in Arcade mode, all the questions get thrown out the window! It’s just you, the track, and the other racers! With the addition of a boost function, the fun of racing superbikes becomes unhindered by pesky things like gear ratios and “getting hurt when you fall over.”
Whether you’re a professional superbike racer looking for a mental test of your abilities, or an arcade junkie with a serious thirst for speed, SBK X has everything you need. From the fine-tuning of weight distribution and calculating engine performance, to push-button-go-fast racing thrills, SBK X offers multiple levels of realism that allow you to race how you want to.
