Finally, after waiting for what seemed like an eternity, PlayStation 3 owners will finally get to experience the joy that is Behemoth’s Castle Crashers. Behemoth and Sony have finally announced a release date for the PSN version of the XBLA classic Castle Crashers. The new version of the side-scrolling beat’em up will be available on the PlayStation Network on August 31, 2010 for $14.99.
I guess that it is better late than never! I fyou have not experienced the joy that is Castle Crashers, run, don’t walk, to your PS3 next week and download it. The 360 version of the game ranks as my all-time favorite XBLA games and it is hard to find the words to describe the joy found in playing a cooperative game online with 3 of your friends. The game is just fantastic.
In order to celebrate the release of the game, Behemoth will be showing off the title, along with its upcoming BattleBlock Theater at PAX Prime at the beginning of September. Castle Crashers fans are in for a special treat as Behemoth’s booth (#3102) will feature a specially constructed 4-player arcade cabinet of the game, exclusive to the show.
