Gamescom is kicking off in Cologne next week and we can expect a huge flood of information on many of the big, upcoming titles in the industry according to reports coming from various developers. Next week could shape up to be the biggest week of gaming news since E3, which will be a welcome change of pace from the traditional summer drought.
Among the companies / games already confirmed to get big reveals next week are Epic’s
Bulletstorm and Namco’s
Tekken X Street Fighter. People Can Fly recently took to
Twitter and announced
“A #Bulletstorm sized unveil coming to Games-Com – I’d tell you to hold onto your hats, but that won’t matter when your HEAD EXPLODES.” Epic has already stated that Gears of War 3 will not be at the show, so most, if not all, of Epic’s focus should be on
Bulletstorm.
Namco is expected to follow suit on Capcom’s ComicCon showing of Street Fighter X Tekken and reveal their 3D take on the title as
Tekken X Street Fighter at the show. Rumors have been dropped all over the net of the game’s reveal including the scheduled appearance of both Katsuhiro Harada and Yoshinoro Ono, both participating in some sort of “tournament”.
We only have to wait a couple of more days to find out... next week should be busy for gaming news, so stay tuned to
Gaming Nexus!
