Warriors of Rock gets 11 new bands

by: Chuck -
More On: Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock
It looks like Activision is really reaching back into the closet of rock and roll bands for Guitar Hero:Warriors of Rock as they've announced that there will be 11 bands that have never appeared before in a Guitar Hero game.  Of course some of these bands have made an appearance on Rock Band already but they are new to Guitar Hero.  Here's the full list of artists along with their respective songs:
  • Anberlin – “The Feel Good Drag”
  • Arch Enemy – “Nemesis”
  • The Dillinger Escape Plan – “Setting Fire To Sleeping Giants”
  • John 5 – “Black Widow Of La Porte”
  • Neil Young – “Rockin' In The Free World”
  • Orianthi – “Suffocated”
  • Queensrÿche – “Jet City Woman”
  • Red Rider – “Lunatic Fringe”
  • RX Bandits – “It's Only Another Parsec...”
  • Snot – “Deadfall”
  • Tesla – “Modern Day Cowboy”
It's nice to see Tesla and Queensrÿche get some love but it does make me wonder why we haven't seen Operation Mindcrime released on either of the two platforms as it would seem like the perfect fit.  Not only do you have some finger breaking guitar solos and that album itself is basically a soundtrack for a movie without a movie.  Hopefully that can be remedied at some point in the near future.
