The “reboot” (if you will) of
Mortal Kombat sure is shaping up nicely on the graphical end of things. Game Informer has finally revealed the full-quality images of the game that they used in their recent article on Netherrealm Studios’ upcoming fighter.
While the game is still a little ways off, launching next year, many fans are frothing at the mouth for more information on the title. Boon and company know this, and they are going to tease us until the very end. Little to no new information has been revealed about the title since E3 aside from these new shots. The one thing that Netherrealm is talking about though is the robust multiplayer mode(s) being planned for the title. Many of the developer interviews that have taken place recently mention that the new
Mortal Kombat may set the “benchmark” in online fighting games. WHat does that mean exactly... I guess we will have to wait and see. In the meantime, you can check out a couple of new screens from the PlayStation 3 version of the game below:
