Boston — August 4, 2010 — The Academy Is…, Bad Religion, The Black Keys, Black Sabbath, The Donnas, The Get Up Kids, Jet, Living Colour, Mastodon, Mutemath, New Found Glory, Paramore, Queens of the Stone Age, Superdrag, Surfer Blood and Three Days Grace are only a sampling of the rockers joining previously-announced music industry superstars Eric Clapton, Dave Matthews Band and Kid Rock in providing original master tracks of their hit songs for Power Gig: Rise of the SixString, the first and only band videogame for which the guitar controller is a functioning six-string electric guitar. Power Gig: Rise of the SixString will be available for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system October 2010.

Eric Clapton, Dave Matthews Band and Kid Rock have each entered into exclusive agreements with Seven45 Studios to provide songs for Power Gig: Rise of the SixString, deals which mark the first time ever that songs from each of the three artists will appear as part of a music videogame. In addition to the previously-announced inclusion of Eric Clapton’s “Layla,” Seven45 is now revealing the game will feature Dave Matthews Band’s iconic hit “Tripping Billies” and Kid Rock’s 2009 chart-topper “All Summer Long.” Additional songs in the game from each of the three exclusive artists will be announced at a later date.

More songs being announced at this time are:
· The Academy Is… - “His Girl Friday”
· Bad Religion - “I Want to Conquer the World”
· The Black Keys – “Strange Times”
· Black Sabbath – “The Devil Cried”
· The Get Up Kids – “Martyr Me”
· Mastodon – “Crack The Skye”
· Mutemath – “Chaos”
· New Found Glory – “Listen To Your Friends”
· Paramore – “Ignorance”
· Queens of the Stone Age – “You Think I’m Not Worth a Dollar, But I Feel Like a Millionaire”
· Superdrag – “Aspartame”
· Surfer Blood – “Swim”

These join The Donna’s “Fall Behind Me,” Jet’s “She’s a Genius” and Living Colours’ “Cult of Personality,” all of which were available to play in the demos of the game at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). With 70 tracks at launch, these songs comprise only a small cross-section of Power Gig’s expansive song list that stretches from metal to punk to southern rock to pop featuring major label artists and emerging talent from the indie scene.
“Our song list, like the fact that Power Gig: Rise of the SixString is the first and only game to put a real guitar into the hands of gamers, shows our commitment to all things music,” said Seven45 Studios Chairman and CEO, Bernard Chiu. “The tracks we’re revealing today are just a sampling of the robust and exciting song list that is sure to keep our players engaged.”

Power Gig: Rise of the SixString will be the true evolution of the band videogame experience when it arrives this fall with a genuine six string guitar as a wireless controller. The guitar features Seven45’s proprietary technology that can distinguish and recognize gamers’ input all along the guitar, making the guitars as easy to pick up and play as any other band game button controllers. The unique dual-functionality of the SixString allows for use as a game controller as well as a true instrument with any standard guitar amplifier. In addition to traditional beat-matching that will be familiar to fans of the band game genre, Power Gig also introduces the option to switch on chording, which presents the added challenge of playing the game using chords that require specific finger placement on the neck. As players progress through the game, becoming more comfortable with a genuine guitar and challenging themselves to play real power chords, they will find the byproduct of playing the game is coming away from it with real-life guitar skills.
