Activision has promised to deliver on a second DJ Hero title, as well as to incorporate new features into the game. One of said features is the social multiplayer game modes; all six of which are spoken about in the below posted video vignette. For your convenience, here is a quick summary of what the new modes that
DJ Hero 2 will be offering:
Party Play - You can jump in and out of the setlist that runs in the background
Streak - Pretty self-explanatory, Streak is about building and maintaining your points
Head To Head - Another fairly self-explanatory mode. Head To Head involves direct comeptition with the other gamer(s). What is not easily assumable from this mode, however, is the ability to rewind to replay certain sections of the track while your competitor sits it out
Checkpoint - To win this mode, you’ll have to keep your skills up to par to pass each checkpoint successfully rather than merely relying on the end score.
Accumulator - Accumulator is also based on a different scoring system in which you do not bank your points, but rather you accumulate them
DJ Battle - DJ Battle stipulates that competitors will take turns in scratching
This fall, living rooms will transform into nightclubs letting budding beat chemists, singing sensations and all of their friends party together by firing up two turntable controllers and a microphone to experience their favorite music as they’ve never heard it before in DJ Hero 2 – the follow-up to the #1 new videogame intellectual property of 2009, DJ Hero. Picking up where the award-winning DJ Hero soundtrack left off, DJ Hero 2 spins together the hottest tracks blazing up the charts and legendary club anthems from the biggest artists in pop, dance and hip hop including Dr. Dre, The Chemical Brothers, Kanye West, Metallica, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and over 85 others. Fueling the party will be a host of all-new social multiplayer game modes and innovative freestyle gameplay giving virtual DJ’s the ability to crossfade, scratch and sample in over 70 speaker-blowing mashups from the hottest DJ’s and Producers around the world.
