If you own an iPone or iPod Touch, more than likely you have heard of and played
Angry Birds. The game has been sitting atop the App store for quite a while and doesn’t look to be going anywhere any time soon. The title, which was originally released back in December, is often described as a 2D version of Boom Blox. Apple won’t be the exclusive home to the title for much longer as developer Rovio has announced that in addition to other mobile platforms,
Angry Birds is being developed for the Nintendo DS, PlayStation Portable, and PlayStation 3.
Angry Birds was not released to much flair on Apple’s platform; sales for the first few months were rather slow but then took off like a rocket once word began to spread about the game. The title has since become one of the best selling iPhone games ever and the sales numbers continue to climb. The console port of the game was revealed during an interview with Joe Wee, co-founder of Rovio, done by
the Sun. Hopefully Rovio will release some more detailed information on the game’s development soon and we can get an idea as to when we might be seeing it...
